TOURIST VISA (L-VISA) TO CHINA

If you are planning a trip to China, you will need a tourist visa (L-visa). 


Timeframe for registration:

  • Preparation of documents (filling out questionnaires, making an appointment for an interview): up to 7 working days;

  • Standard visa processing: 4-7 working days;

  • Express processing (2-3 days) - available under certain conditions.

The validity period and conditions of stay may vary depending on the decision of the consulate, but these are the standard options:

  • Single entry visa (3 or 6 months) - allows one entry for up to 30 days;

  • Double entry visa (6 months) - allows two entries within six months;

  • Multiple entry visa (6 or 12 months) - allows multiple entries, but must depart after each allowed stay (30-60 days).

Documents for applying for a tourist visa (L-visa):

  • Passport

* Valid for at least 6 months after return;

** Has a minimum of 2 blank pages;

*** If you had previous Chinese visas, copies are desirable.

  • Completed visa application form;

  • Color photo (3.5×4.5 cm);

  • Airline tickets

* Round-trip booking confirmation (no need to pay in advance);

  • Hotel reservations or invitations;

  • Booking confirmation for the entire period of stay or Invitation from a Chinese citizen/travel agency;

  • Travel itinerary;

  • Financial documents:

  • Bank statement (balance from $1500-2000) or Employment certificate (indicating salary and position)

  • Health insurance: Coverage from 30,000 euros for the entire period of travel.



Additional documents (if required):

For children (under 18 years old):

  • Birth certificate (copy);

  • Notarized permission from parents if the child is traveling with one of them.

If traveling by invitation:

  • Letter of invitation (with details of the tourist and the inviting party);

  • Copy of the passport or residence permit of the inviting person;

Consular fee:

  • Standard processing (4-7 days) - $50-100 (3900-7800 INR);

  • Express processing (2-3 days) (if available).
